GAIA offers two self-help programs available outside Germany for an out-of-pocket cost: deprexis, an online program designed for people with depression that uses a virtual dialogue to suggest methods and techniques for managing negative thoughts, and vorvida, a CBT-based program designed to help people reduce their alcohol consumption.
A diagnosis of depressive disorder (for deprexis) or alcohol use disorder (for vorvida) from a doctor or therapist may be required to purchase. In Germany, the cost of both programs is covered by statutory insurance and most private insurance.
