Who is responsible for your information

What we collect

This website collects only what you type into its two forms. The waitlist form asks for your first name, your email address, your preferred language and, if you wish, a few words about what matters most to you. It also records your consent to receive updates and the date you confirm it. The contact form asks for your name, your email address and your message.

The optional waitlist question is a free-text field: share only what you're comfortable sharing, or leave it blank. Beyond the forms, this website requires no account, sets no analytics or advertising cookies and loads no third-party trackers; even its fonts are served from our own domain. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (your IP address, the pages requested and the time) for security purposes.

How we use it

Your contact message is used for one thing: to answer you. Your waitlist information is used to send you occasional updates about THEOR-E, because you asked for them. Your email address joins the list only after you click the confirmation link we send you. We do not sell your information, we do not share it with anyone for their own purposes, we do not use it for advertising, and no decision about you is made by automated means.

Who handles it for us

Three service providers process your information on our instructions. Hostinger hosts this website and its forms. Brevo delivers our emails and stores the waitlist. Microsoft hosts our team mailbox (info@theor-e.com), where form submissions arrive. Each is bound by contract to protect your information and to use it only to provide its service to us.

Where it is stored

Some of your information leaves Québec. Brevo holds the waitlist on servers in the European Union, and our other providers may store data in Canada, the United States or the European Union. Before personal information is communicated outside Québec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection there, as Québec law requires.

How long we keep it

We keep a contact message for as long as we need it to handle your request, then delete it. We keep your waitlist information until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until the waitlist itself is retired. Information that is no longer needed is deleted.

Your choices and rights

Every email we send to the waitlist carries an unsubscribe link, and it takes effect immediately, no explanation needed. You can also withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us.

You have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected and to have it deleted. Write to info@theor-e.com and we will respond within 30 days. If our answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec or, if you live elsewhere in Canada, to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

How we protect it

This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to the mailbox and the waitlist is limited to the people who need it for their work, and our providers maintain their own certified safeguards. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure, but we treat your information with the care we would want for our own.

Children

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 14. If you believe a child has given us theirs, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this notice

When our practices change, we update this page and revise the date at the top. If a change meaningfully affects the waitlist, we also say so in the next email we send.
